Nether Wart Block to Nether Wart conversion with Grind Stone breaking economies of servers

๐Ÿ“ Description (REQUIRED)

On my server and on others that have an economy, nether wart is often given a higher value than other crops thanks to them not being auto-farmable, at least not to a large extent. The recent change made in dev build #806 allows players to use a grind stone and convert nether wart blocks to nether wart, which would break the server economies if the servers update. This also highlights a larger issue in that admins cannot modify what basic machines can do/output, yet they can disable items.

While this may not be considered a bug, it is an issue, and there are no other avenues for me to communicate this since I was permanently banned on the SF Discord server for arguing with staff (if I could be unbanned and just temp muted or something in the future btw that would be greaaaaat... my username and tag is Voltro#6969)

๐Ÿ“‘ Steps to reproduce the Issue (REQUIRED)

  1. Go on an economy server updated to dev build #806 that puts an emphasis on nether wart value
  2. Go to a crimson forest and grow a ton of crimson trees
  3. Profit

๐Ÿ’ก Expected behavior (REQUIRED)

The expected behavior would be either that the conversion of nether wart blocks to nether wart didn't exist/wasn't implemented, or that admins could control/toggle what the basic machines are capable of outputting.

๐Ÿ“œ Server Log

No errors.

๐Ÿ“‚ /error-reports/ Folder

No error report.

๐Ÿงญ Environment (REQUIRED)

  • Server Software: Paper
  • Minecraft Version: 1.16.5
  • Slimefun Version: Build #806 - Build #819

There will be more configuration options for recipes once the Recipe System has been redone (which is in the workings since around last year already).
But until then there is not a really good way to add such options unless we added cherry-picked workarounds which would be more than unpleasant... and will backfire on us by the time a proper solution is implemented.
But I did note it down.
So your best option right now is probably to either use an outdated build or modify the recipes and compile it manually.

I looked into your ban and spoke to the staff members who were there when you were banned.
By the looks of their stories and discord's chat logs... I don't think you are getting un-banned.
And you were definitely not banned for "arguing with our staff" though I see no point in arguing about it, I was not involved and this is not relevant to this "issue".
Either way, please do not use the bug tracker for things that aren't bugs.

Alright, I will remain on the #805 dev build for as long as I can then I suppose.

At the very least though, please go over the rule regarding "arguing with members of staff" and other rules in general with your staff. The use of muting and temp banning can be much more appropriate in some circumstances than outright permanent banning, and if done incorrectly it can potentially give off the impression of authoritarianism and oppression.

Also, if I may ask for clarification, why aren't people allowed to include invititation links to their server's Discord server in the #server-showcase channel? I do not understand the logic behind this 1 part of the rules, so I would appreciate some clarification regarding its inclusion/addition.
