Using the new 1.5 hotbar + right click = armor on hotkey. I believe you can bypass the plugin and have stacked armor on. From the brief testing I did with it and messing around with permissions, etc. I believe it's a glitch. *Note: I'm using CommandSigns to give players armor but with essentials it stacks the armor and I could put it on with right clicking from my hotbar.

If that is true, it is waiting on bukkit and there is nothing I can do at this time.

That is unfortunately the case. I am waiting for bukkit to pull the request and I have no control until then.
