Compatibility Issue

I run a spigot server 1.7.10 version. I downloaded the latest beta version of TerrainControl 2.6.1 which sais its for CB 1.7.9-R0.11.7.2. When i am trying to install the Folder that is created miss almost everything and its not properly installed and its not working in game (/tc) . I assume its the version compatibility. But i thought it could work with 1.7.10 as it hasnt many differences with 1.7.9.
Can you verify that 2.6.1 version isnt compatible with 1.7.10? Cause if it does, then there is something else wrong and i cant install TerrainControl.
If that is the problem, when are you going to release a beta 1.7.10?
Depends. I want for example to create a terrain control new world. What will be the difference? What does not work?
On the build server you can download a compatible build.

I think we should upload something to BukkitDev. @Timethor @Wickth: The version in the repo is currently 2.7.0-SNAPSHOT, but I'd rather not upload it to BukkitDev as 2.7.0, as the main feature, biome groups, is not in yet. Should I just upload it as 2.6.2?
Sounds good to me. Biome Groups are so incredibly close... just working out the kinks. Hopefully by the weekend I'll have something published and ready for review and testing.
ok then, i am waiting for the release. tic tac clock is ticking (time is money)
Especially for server owners ;)
@Noumpas13 Clock is ticking? The 1.7.9 server will accept 1.7.10 clients without any problems. 1.7.10 was a Minecraft Realms & EULA update.
Old worlds shouldn't be affected by the biome groups.
@Timethor Great news! We can wait until the weekend to release a dev build.
No my server is 1.7.10, and the current latest beta version supports 1.7.9. My question was if that version (2.6.1 for CB 1.7.9-R0.11.7.2.) supports 1.7.10 servers. Cause when i put the jar on the plugins file and restart the server, the files are missing and the commands dont work
it only generated the terrain control file with these 2 in it:
GlobalObjects (file)
TerrainControl.ini
2.6.1 doesn't support 1.7.10, the version on the build server does (although the build server seems to be down.) If you want, I can manually compile one and upload it for you.
if the 2.6.2 will come up the next days then dont. but will it?
the fixed version Timerthor reported
@rutgerkok -- The build server is currently down until probably Monday. Unfortunately the person I had watching the server for me is on vacation and it just happened to crash after he left... Just my luck!
As soon as he gets back I'll be migrating all of my assets over to my local servers in CO so I'll have full control again... plus they're faster ๐ I'll make the switch from the VA server to my local server around Wednesday, this will be transparent for normal users with exception to a slight page load increase. Will keep you posted for more specific on when we will be up and running again.
We don't have a proper release yet, but we have something that works on 1.7.10. I have updated my build archive (download the build from there):

@Timethor: Thanks! You're providing this service for free, yet your support is much better than other web hosts give. ๐
""These files have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use at your own risk.""
Should i be worried? :P
Anyway i download it thanks. 1 last question rutgerkok, what does this version lack and its not proper yet? are there any bugs? or broken features? give me an example. ( i need to consider it seriously if i have to wait for the proper release. If there is big quality difference.)
i am a bit confused... just answer to this: Is there a release of a version without bugs compatible with 1.7.10 until monday?
It misses the biome groups, which is the big feature of 2.7. The build is called 2.7.0-SNAPSHOT, but still behaves mostly like 2.6.1. I'm running it on my server, no problems so far.
The bold warning is just there to keep the BukkitDev staff happy. Of course there won't be something malicious there. ๐ธ
the biome groups? do you mean the new vanilla ones? or some kind of terrain control custom biome feature? then there must be a big difference. Do you know if the release will be soon? 1 week or later? Please help me take my decision, its critical for my server.
Biome Grouping is a feature that is being added to TC, similar to the new vanilla ones, that will provide a more logical way of grouping biomes and eventually replace part of the functionality goal behind the existing NotBorderNear
setting in BiomeConfigs
. I wouldn't, however, hold your breath for this feature. We are a small team and development times are never rigid ...and, to be honest, the initial feature really isn't going to add a whole lot to the plugin. Lucky, most of what we do is very backwards compatible so you can use the latest version from the link @rutgerkok posted and have no fear of upgrading to the next version. The only caveat here is that, with Biome Groups, it is very likely that non-biome group worlds will not have a biome group equivalent. I am still determining a solution so this is very up in the air right now.
&tldr; I would suggest running with the latest version from the link above. The existing TC features are very robust and will get you quite far. You can always upgrade when we make our next release.
Thank you for explain the situation. I am going to run the version u gave me. Good luck with the new feature
