full ocean biome chunks appearing inside continents

The only time a chunk should be 0% ocean biome is if there are only non-ocean chunks around it, and the only time a chunk should be 100% ocean is if there are only ocean biome chunks around it, but it seems that it is possible to have chunks which have no shore whatsoever right next to full ocean chunks, and vice versa. The result is odd square shaped islands or continents with big square sections missing from them. I am using CB-1.2.5-R3.0 and the latest version of TerrainControl as of 2012-05-27 with default settings in a brand new world generated by multiverse using the TerrainControl generator.
Another possibly related issue I have noticed is that sometimes the Extreme Hills biomes will have a one or multiple chunks where the height does not match its neighbours and so often there is a mountain with a square inside it which is slightly below sea level, which also looks very odd.

and most parameters default, mostly just with a bit higher baseline height of everything, so that there's more space to mine.
