With version VanishNoPacket 3.5 and CB 1.2.3 R0.1, mobs ignore nofollow when vanished. They instantly aggro on you unless you are in creative mode. No errors, they just ignore this setting.

1.2.3-R0.1 is a beta build and has its share of bugs. This is one of the known ones :)
