SneakNoPacket could either be an extension of your original plugin or a new plugin. I wouldn't mind, but it would probably be more flexible having two separate plugins.

Don't you hate griefers who use hack clients to aid them. Lucky for us there is NoCheat. NoCheat cover all bugs, recent and old and stops common hacks such as flying. What NoCheat doesn't support is the idea of SneakNoPacket. Your plugin has all the concepts of SneakNoPacket, but it just isn't implemented.

SneakNoPacket means that players further than a set distance from another player becomes vanished (Probably around 128 blocks). It will also make players sneaking behind blocks (eg. underground) will not be sent to the hacker. They become vanished. This stops sneaking behind a wall from being client side and creating it server side.

This would be a great mod for most PVP servers today, as many hackers use this basic hack all the time. It would be a great help if you were to make this; considering you already have the code. I don't mind if you take all the credit I just wish for a plugin that stops this form of griefing.

Cheers,

There's no pleasant way of doing it, so it's on the backburner.

Ah, okey.. :(

Heh, pleeasant way. The only way to do this in a clean implementation is to implement a whole PVS system...

Closing as this idea just isn't very feasible.

It's definitely something I'd like to look into. :)

Excellent. If you can, when do you think you can finish the first proto-type/release. =P

Not a clue :(

I have a billion billion projects to work on!

This sounds like a perfect plugin to develop, I've noticed MANY players using various hack clients when playing the survival games, while I agree that it may be useful to have such options to see player locations it is commonly being misused. guess it permissions could come in use for it.

Currently testing out some code for this. The challenge is getting detection of who can see who. It's on the sneak branch.
