My players are reporting, that unvanish destroys blocks|sets them on fire.
Please, tell me, how to disable this redundant feature?

This is not good. I had one permission node for vip players and one for admins. now, I have to use like 50 permission nodes from vanish, except explode, because I don't want to use explosions.
This is retarded. Negation nodes and everything. This is so redundant.

How does this require you to use 50 nodes? Just negate the one node you don't want?

how about ops? should they destroy everything around now?

ops do not get these nodes. ops only get 4 nodes if I recall correctly. vanish.vanish, vanish.see, vanish.statusupdates and the one about getting updates notifications.

Plus, as the comment I posted very clearly states the effect is just an effect and doesn't destroy anything.

According to my admins, it does set blocks on fire from lightning, at least.

You really should read that post I kindly linked you to. Specifically the first paragraph of that response.

Others on the server can see the fire, though. I guess, it's a very special client-only feature.

Anyone that was within load range of the chunk (as in, the effect triggered) will get the clientside prediction flaw.
