This has been brought up by someone else, but it turned out it was a problem with the perm plugin they were using.

When I type /vanish, it brings up /vanish [on:off]. Basically, it won't allow me to vanish.
This began happening after the 1.5 release. All the permissions are the same, haven't been touched. No errors come up in the console or in the server logs.

Im using PermissionsBukkit.

I did what you said above
When I type "/vanish reload", it gives me the "/vanish [on:off]"
So i just reloaded the whole server
When I type /permtest vanish.vanish, it tells me "unknown command...."

So a no go on this one.

If /permtest says unknown command, then you have managed to negate the permtest node. That means you've gone to some extraordinary lengths to negate perm nodes in your permissions config and it's negating stuff you weren't expecting. There is no need to open a new ticket (though we can now use this ticket since it has the information in one convenient place).

Perhaps you could provide (pastebin please) your permissions config.

I didn't do anything to my permissions. I haven't touched them. I updated the server to 1.5, then vanishnopacket to the latest, and this started happening.

I just deleted the vanishnopacket config, and let it create a new one. Now it all seems to work again. Not sure what the problem was, I haven't touched any of the configs other than just now.
