All effect default ON when OP
ManBeastPig opened this issue · 6 comments
I'm using a bungeecord server and when ever i log on or change worlds ALL effects are turned on for me. but not staff or ranks.
I toggle them off but they are ON if i change servers again.
It is not because you are OP. OPs do not get the effect nodes. You have granted them on yourself. Maybe you granted vanish.*
Hi,
Actually i sovled it with negating the perms.
but the weird thing is i copy and pasted the config and pex config section
from my other server.
and on the older server it never did it and still doesn't but on the new
one i have to negative the perms.
weird but fixed

I run a Bungee server myself. Now it had a custom permissions system, but
we had bPerms running there for a long time without issues.
We've had used PEX for long in the past, and every now and then some
ghostly issues like this one came to life.
Then mayhaps you should consider moving to a more reliable permissions
plugin?
The change was not without efforts, but it also gave us a chance to
reorganize the permission groups and to review every node.
By the way, granting the lazy vanish.* node is faster but as an admin it
won't give you a good level of permission control over your flock.

#504 (comment).
yeah i avoided vanish.* from the start.
I just started a second server so the perms are new, i dont really feel
like starting again with a new system.
pex seems pretty good but a lot of people complain about it, ive had no
issues so far, bar this assuming its pex.
I might move at some stage, but i have a load of donators, hundreds in fact
so yeah it would be an epic/boring job.
thanks for help, would have been nice to pin it down tho, they are
identical systemsl
