The quarry stops mining when reaching dripstone

when the quarry is mining downwards, if it uncovers or runs into a dripstone block, it stops, forcing you to break the block manually and reset the quarry, restarting it from the very top. Is this a compatibility issue with another datapack, or is it normal and is there a way to fix it?
