Inspired by the mod: Tough as Nails I set off the journey on recreating the mod in vanilla Minecraft via Data packs.
** It's recommended to use optifine as armor textures could currently only be edited via optifine. However, it is purely cosmetic and is not necessary. **
You no longer require Gameboy's Datapack Library for this data pack.
This data pack is still in its Development Phase, optimization and tweaks would be done in the future
It is recommended to type /reload after inserting this data pack.
Warning: This Data pack might conflict with other data packs if their datapack includes action-bar titles.
NOTE: If you are planning on putting this project on a public server, please leave the credit.

Starting Off!
To craft the custom items in this data pack, you need to first obtain a Custom Crafting Table.
Simply place a crafting table in the crafting grid, and you can craft yourself a Custom Crafting Table!
Adapting to the environment
At the start of this survival experience, you would want to spawn in a temperate biome so that you could settle down with ease. Of course, it's alright to take up a challenge and start in the middle of a desert or the ice lands, but it would much harder than you thought it would be.
Spawning in, it would be a wise decision to collect glass bottles and drink water. But be careful, if the water isn't purified, it would make you even more thirsty. Besides gathering the usual materials, keep an eye out for sheep and slimes, as they drop materials that could help you craft armor to withstand the heat and cold.
Wool Armor
Crafting Wool Armor is quite straight-forward. All you need is to obtain wool and craft it like any other armor in the game.
Wearing Wool Armor could help you go up in temperature, and it would be really helpful especially at night.
Jelled Slime Armor
To craft Jelled Slime, you would need to collect ice cubes and slime balls. Ice cubes could be collected by breaking ice blocks.
Using the Jelled Slime you just collected, you could craft the Jelled Slime Armor with it. Wearing the Jelled Slime Armor, you would slowly fall in temperature, and it is very important to acquire before heading to the nether.
Cooling and Heating Coil
The Cooling Coil and the Heating Coil can be crafted as shown above. The Cooling Coil requires Ice Cubes and the Heating Coil requires Magma Shards, which could be obtained by breaking magma blocks without silk touch. Upon placing down the Coils, it is required to give it a Redstone input so that it could be turned on.
Purifying Water
Drinking unpurified water may be unhealthy for us. With a charcoal filter, water bottles can be made into Purified Water Bottles.
Canteens
Bottles are quite inefficient for drinking, canteens are a great solution for that!
Juices
Juices can be crafted by putting a water bottle, a piece of sugar, and a fruit of choice on the vanilla crafting table.
List of Juices:
- Apple Juice
- Beetroot Juice
- Cactus Juice
- Carrot Juice
- Chorus Juice
- Golden Apple Juice
- Golden Carrot Juice
- Golden Melon Juice
- Melon Juice (Melon Blocks, not slices)
- Pumpkin Juice
Temperature Stabilizer
The Temperature Stabilizer is an end-game tool allowing the user to automatically adjust their body temperature so that they won't be cold or hot.

Known Bugs:
1. Crafting table not obtainable:
Quick fix: typing `/function gblibrary:give/crafting_table`
2. Japanese characters showing instead of the thirst bar
Quick fix: go to settings > language > disable Unicode font.
