i can't play it in minecraft

I am a player of minecraft. Before i download this mod , but i can't work it.First i use the curse to download it , and use the 1.7.10 vesion to work it,but it can't ,the minecraft show me {the vesion is wrong},.
Second I try to use the 1.12 vesion to work it , it can ,but the minecraft can't show the mod ,only the
general vesion.
Why it can't work?Please help me,i hope i can play it,and take a video for this mod.
