Out of the box, there is no incompatibility with Symbol Chat, but there is a resourcepack that enhances the visuals of the emoji provided by the mod. Using that pack together with this mod's experimental screen type causes the Show Extra Screen configuration options to show bugged or altered symbols.

Fix with release for 1.21.5 and up

Well that is kinda funny but not to much harm as the buttons are just using icons which are just being replaced. Frankly I plan to redo the buttons when time comes to adjust the screen for some future proofing so for now I will keep such in mind and close this issue later when the screen is redone.
