Seeing some additional optimizations for 1.21.4 (such as f30772d), I think it would be helpful to have those same optimizations in the 1.21.1 version. If at all it is possible to backport this, I think that would be very useful for lag reduction.

As of late I had to disable experimental caching due to issues and such will not be backported until I can actually revisit such in a smarter way to prevent issues

Addendum: are there any other fixes that could be backported? I see some reference to "general fixes"
