Steps to Reproduce

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Install Cobblemon with Accessories beta.52
  2. Attempt to equip a Mega Bracelet or any accessory ring
  3. Slots disappear or become unusable

What You Expect To Happen

Expected Behavior:
Accessory slots from Cobblemon integrations should remain visible and functional, as they did in beta.51.

What Actually Happened

After updating from beta.51 to beta.52, all Cobblemon accessory slots (such as Mega Bracelet and Rings) are no longer recognized by the game.

These items:

  • Disappear from their dedicated accessory slots
  • Cannot be equipped manually
  • Are completely unrecognized by the Accessories menu

Temporary Fix:
Downgrading to version accessories-neoforge-1.1.0-beta.51+1.21.1 fully restores functionality.

Environment:

  • NeoForge 21.1.1
  • Minecraft 1.21.1
  • Cobblemon 1.6.1
  • Accessories 1.1.0-beta.52

Additional Notes:
This issue breaks compatibility for all Cobblemon accessory integrations (Mega Bracelet, Z-Rings, etc.).

@LevelsCraft7 Cobblemon code base does not hint at any integration with accessories and more points to maybe this mod adding such: Cobblemon: Mega Showdown. Such also seems to require trinkets/curios, so you will need the compat layer, I believe, to restore the functionality

Hey, just to clarify, the Mega Showdown mod hasn’t been updated for quite a while, and everything was working perfectly fine on my Cobblemon Realms modpack for over 6 months up until the Accessories beta.52 update.

Since this update, the Cobblemon-related items (like the Mega Bracelet and Rings) no longer have their assigned “Slot”, meaning they can’t be equipped anymore.

So this seems to be a regression introduced with beta.52, as reverting back to beta.51 fully restores functionality.

This setup work:

@LevelsCraft7 That mod dose not have support for Accessories but though curios and the Curios Compat Layer has been replaced with Accessories Compat Layer. The recent update to fix a bug means latest version of accessories no longer works with the CCLayer meaning you need to switch over

I just tested a workaround for the accessory slot bug in beta.52:

✅ Added: Accessories Compatibility Layer
❌ Removed: Curios Compat Layer for Accessories

After making this change, Cobblemon accessories (Mega Bracelet, rings, etc.) are lost, but you can re-equip them and they work fine.

It looks like the compatibility layer is interfering with slot assignment in this version. Thanks !
