[Feature Request]: Upgradable Machines & Energy Cells

Most tech mods have ways to upgrade their machines, either though modules or seperate blocks. For some reason, Ad Astra doesn't have any way to do this. As well, most tech mods have ways to transport energy around without bringing a generator wherever you go.
Solution(s)
For the upgrade thing, maybe use stackable modules (so you don't have to make multiple machine textures) that would be added to machines. For example, an upgrade that can improve energy efficiency, and another that could make the machine run faster, just to name a couple. For the transporting energy thing, might I suggest Energy Cells? Energy could be inserted into these the same way as machines (via power cables), or by inserting them into a block of another mod that would allow for charging them through a GUI. Then, using power cables, hook them up to machines that use power, and they'll use their power supply to charge the machines. And for Creative mode only (or something very late game that uses stuff from Glacio + Nether Stars), one that has an infinite supply.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Another way to do the whole "transporting energy" thing are batteries. These could be charged in a generater, and then put into the machines that need them. Only real issue with these VS the energy cells is that these would need a slot to be inserted into, while energy cells could just use power cables due to being blocks.
