[Bug]: How to pump water to oxygen loader?

Bug Description

More a support question than a bug report...

I have an oxygen loader, with hopper underneath to pull output items from the loader; steel cable in back for power; hopper on top to add water buckets.

After visiting the moon and acquiring some desh, I built a water pump, desh cables, and desh fluid pipes. I've set up the pump directly over a water source block (in a self-replacing configuration with other water source blocks), supplied the pump with power, and connected the pump to the oxygen loader with a pipe.

However, the oxygen loader does not receive water!
Also, the pump continually consumes energy even when its water buffer is full and nothing is getting water from the pipes.

Questions:

  1. Can the oxygen loader receive water from pipes? If so, how?
  2. Why does the water pump keep using energy when it internal tank is full and nothing is pulling water?

How to Reproduce?

  1. Chest (or inventory system) to receive output items from machines.

  2. Series of hoppers to extract output items from machines and deliver to chest.

  3. Directly on the hoppers:

    1. Coal Generator
    2. Oxygen Loader
  4. 2x2 pool of water

  5. Water pump over one of the water source blocks

  6. Steel (or desh) cables connecting generator to oxygen loader and water pump

  7. Desh fluid pipe connecting water pump to oxygen loader.

  8. Suitable fuel in the Coal Generator.

  9. Watch as pump sucks energy, and fills its internal tank.

  10. Watch as oxygen loader's energy storage fills, but nothing happens with either the water or oxygen storage.

Expected Behavior

Expect Oxygen Loader's internal water and oxygen storage to fill up as the pump provides water.

I figured it out. I just needed to read the next section of the manual (the part about reaching Mars and preparing for the "hot planets").

Using the wrench on an end of the pipe let arrange for it to pull from the pump and deliver to the oxygen loader.
