What am I supposed to do with this mod? Is there a folder I put into the mod folder, if so, which one?

And if there a list of features that this add-on has. I'm just looking for phased pipes like in Tekkit, but I don't know if this mod has it.

I mean there's not even a tiny hint what to do with this mod, there's just a whole bunch of files and folders with not even the slightest indication anywhere of what do with them.

Do we take the whole thing or just some folders? Do we just put the folder in the mod folder or do we put it in a zip ro a jar first? Or do we put it in Buildcrafts jar? Or do we put it in minecrafts jar? Any indication whatsoever would be nice.

Why isn't it right there in the readme? It would make this so much less confusing.

Nevermind, I figured it out. You have to click on testing builds in the readme and download one of the jar files there. I just downloaded the files and had no idea what to do with them. Seriously write "download the mod here" or something a hell of a lot more obvious than "testing builds".

Since you seem to be the only one complaining on where the download is, it's kinda your own fault for not understanding what "Testing Builds" is.

i would guess that for every person who takes the time to leave a message, between 10 and 100 people try and give up without notify us of their failure.

in the time i spent writing this, i also proposed the following PR just to clarify the readme.

In general, with an open source project, if you find an easily fixable issue, try proposing a fix for it.

commented

Do not come to github looking for things that aren't development or test
builds, this is not a place for handholding like on official mod forums.

I never said anything about hand holding. So because this is github, the readme can't have a clarified download location? Don't give me that shit, one part of making a mod or program is making it accessible and telling people where to download it is the first step. And as for this being a testing build,I needed phased pipes and there wasn't any other options, was there?

@Quest79 there is a difference between hand-holding, and providing a useful link to a download of the latest version.
In many repositories testing and development builds can be broken, so it is not apparent that that link should even be a link used by general visitors.

If we want people to use this mod, then we need to do a minimal amount of "hand-holding" -- It is called "Documentation".

Once again, this is not a forum, this is github. If you want documentation,
start writing a wiki, and shut the hell up. You are owed nothing by the
author, so next time, make a well mannered request rather than a bitchy
demand. <3
