As mentioned in #53, a command to cancel an ongoing backup could be added.

This can cancel a large backup if unwanted - perhaps it should also be able to "skip" an upcoming scheduled backup?

It would also be able to fix a "stuck" backup thread if that happens, though of course a backup thread being stuck is not something that should occur.

Implemented in core, version-specific implementation has a tracker #57 .

Cannot currently skip a backup that isn't running.
