not working at all

This is not really a bug but I am in 1.21.4 verson of minecraft, but whenever i hit "", the words say "X-Ray active" but it doesn't work and it is not active. Also, for settings, when I hit "z" to go into settings, it does nothing.
To Reproduce
Just wasn't working to begin with
Expected behavior
for the stone in caves to disappear and see the ores through the stone walls. And for when I hit Z, a setting gui to pop up.
Minecraft Enviorment
- Minecraft Version: 1.21.4
- XRay Mod Version: 21.4.0
- Mod Pack & Version: Neoforge-21.4.124
- Forge Version if applicable - idk where to find this

I am a new modder, so this might be a stupid problem.
This is also happening to me. I've disabled all mods and it still does nothing. I'm using NeoForge and on mc 1.21.8 (using ver21.8.3).
Not sure how to download the logs from curseforge nor create a spoiler, so I'll just paste the issues.
The single error:

Go to curseforge, find your instance, find the dots in the top right, see attached image
Go to logs, attach the debug.log file

Many thanks, here you go, I'm not sure how CurseForge actually works so hopefully mods don't interfere with each other if you only [disable] instead of [delete] them.
Worked this time, thanks. It was changed to [G], and as soon as I was able to open it, xray worked.
This doesn't look like your game crashed? I can also see you're joining a server which we don't support doing with this mod

The game doesn't crash, the mod just doesn't do anything. backslash only brings up "xray enabled" and does nothing else.
And I shouldn't be joining any server. I started a new local game (or was supposed to). I don't really know; Microsoft really bungled their integration of the old Mojang accounts, I've had no shortage or problems.
