Weapons Doing 1/2 Expected Damage

Mod Version: 0.2.14
Minecraft 1.12.2
Forge: 14.23.5.2847
Weapons are doing 1/2 damage expected. It appears they are calculating hit points instead of hearts (2 points = 1 heart).
For example, in the stream clip below, I was using a mace reported to do 8.5 hearts of damage. However, it was only doing 8.5 points of damage, so 4.25 hearts. I also tested the pickaxe and found it was doing the same thing.

Sorry, it occurred to me right after posting this that this is the intended behavior, and I was misreading the tool tip. I was just surprised at how little damage the mace did given it's expense and difficulty in obtaining, and this seemed to be a logical explanation.
I'm closing this issue, but I may post a feature request to either beef this item up or allow modpack makers to adjust it. For the cost of this item, and it's slower speed, it's really not worth making. I think it should, at least, be better than an axe. Currently, a cheap axe is a better option.
