that's right, a COMPLETE rewrite
for either 1.20.4 or 1.20.5, will likely skip 1.20.2 (maybe)

going to redo pretty much all of the internals most likely

will need a large, structured plan which goes here:


Separate many things into a library mod, perhaps called 'Zenith'

refactor data conditions, figure out a new name for them and make them a datapack registry (maybe have the filters and conditions be zenith:when and then have the things be called 'conditions', idk)

Make Zenith have Aether-specific things that are only enabled with the aether maybe?

make stuff more modular if possible, perhaps even split packaging by biome? Idk maybe not

Data generators AND providers like the Aether (will be useful later)

change tinting system slightly, to prevent crashing if other addons remove plants - will do this before the rewrite

Properly upgrade gilded groves

probably don’t include ‘classic’ highfields variant, it’s a neat concept but feels a bit odd having separate leaves and saplings

rename Wyndsprout Seeds to Wynd Oats

more things:
all mob model reworks should be moved to geckolib
some should be redone as well, such as Moas and cockatrices
these two changes will allow much better animations too

some things also should be reimagined, such as the block variants of sentry stone for instance

new plan
the 1.20.4 rewrite will be version 2.1, but will functionally be a polished version of 2.0 with some reimagined blocks and stuff
The update with the driftshale dunes and shimmering hills will instead be 2.2 (holy heck geomy das reference???)
