Steps to Reproduce
Overview
When opening the Accessories menu, two pairs of ring slots appear. One appears to be supplied by The Aether (in the visual style of The Aether's rings), and the other with a smaller, more compact icon.
To Reproduce
- Install the mods and their prerequisites as above.
- Create a new world in Survival.
- Open the inventory, then select the Accessories button on the top right.
- Scroll through the list of accessory slots to validate their contents.
- Change to Creative, then spawn a pair of rings. Collect them.
- Change back to Survival.
- Attempt to equip the rings in each available and valid accessory slot.
What You Expect To Happen
There are only two ring slots. Equipping the rings is successful in those two slots, and causes them to render on the player's model.
What Actually Happened
There are two pairs of two ring slots with differing artwork for the icons: one in the style of The Aether, the other not. Equipping the rings in the slot in the style of The Aether does not cause them to appear on the player's model. Using other pair of slots causes them to render normally.
Additional Details
Reproducible 5/5
Not tested with other compat layers. Confirmed latest on 1.20.1 release.
Please Read and Confirm The Following
- I have confirmed this bug can be replicated without the use of Optifine.
- I have confirmed this bug is on the most recently supported version of Minecraft.
- I have confirmed the details provided in this report are concise as possible and does not contain vague information (ie. Versions are properly recorded, answers to questions are clear).
- I have confirmed this bug is unique and has not been reported already.
- If playing on a modpack, I have reported this bug to their issue tracker already.
- I have confirmed that I'm reporting a bug in The Aether I, not The Aether II.
It wasn't clear that it was an option, but I'd be happy to try it and report back.
Should I be seeing a configuration file with these settings, something that hooks into Fabric's Mod Menu, or a separate in-game config menu altogether? The only files I see are aether_customizations.txt (which looks like it doesn't control any of these options) and the sun_altar_whitelist.json.
It looks like something like this may exist OOTB for NeoForge at a first glance, though I admit I'm barely conversant when it comes to mod development.
