I see my body turn into flibbety jibbet when using Seed Analyzer and Agricultural Journal

I keep seeing my limbs and parts of the player model flash around the screen as the camera rotates towards the seed analyzer and agricultural journal, combined with a spinning motion. Looking at the seed analyzer also makes Xaero's Minimap jitter wildly. If this isn't just on my end and the animation/camera rotation needs work, is it possible to have a config option to disable it in the short term? Snap the camera to the new position, I guess? Asking the last part in particular on behalf of a photosensitive friend. Fantastic mod otherwise. Magnifique.
Oh gosh I missed that completely, sorry. I think I skimmed it along with the debug section (I was looking for other settings when I read the config.)
My FOV is set to Normal and I took all other mods out to double check that it's doing this on its own. Also, sometimes I right click the analyzer, the camera does the spinning thing and then doesn't actually go into the analyzer 'menu,' just spins back out again. I can click on it from an angle (any random angle), have it do the 'false start' thing, and then click again without moving the mouse and have it go in properly.
I changed my FOV to max, minimum, 'higher' and 'lower' settings and the spinning/seeing inside my player model/flashes of the model across the screen still happens.
From your description it's not a fov issue, but rather the animation starting, cancelling, then starting again and so on, I'll have to investigate why this is happening.
Are you playing on a server or singleplayer?
Singleplayer. I also recall it happened when I checked the mod out briefly a few months (ish?) ago but I don't know what version I would have been using. Would it be useful if I recorded my screen in some way? Also the camera movement itself seems to be 'as intended' ie a slow glide towards the display in question - I think the spinning effect comes from the rapid movement of the player model but it's hard to tell.
Wait, the player model is spinning???
Recording could be a good idea if not too much hassle.
I came here looking for the same thing. If it helps, I can send a recording and my mod list. Just tell me what you need and where to send it.
EDIT: My body doesn't spin, but my minimap goes crazy. The camera goes over the analyzer and then it just kinda hangs until I press ESC or WADS.
Hey sorry, I tried a few screen recorders and they all recorded minecraft at too low FPS to be useful (even with the FPS of the recorder increased so I'm not sure why) Can you recommend a good screen recorder? Also probably the best way I can describe it is parts of the player model rapidly intersecting the camera as the camera moves.
I've recorded my issue. Apologies, I'm not really set up to record so the audio is echo-y and gross. The link is https://streamable.com/ycqmya. Here's a link to my pack, in case you want to try and recreate it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WALPCsmKs3-8XNvu-sO0BJmpV0RAP06M/view?usp=sharing
Oh no yeah that looks pretty much like what I'm experiencing actually, sorry if my description was unclear. Rewatching the recordings I think it looks like the camera takes an awkward path through player model to move into or out of the seed analyzer/agricultural journal viewing position, which causes parts of the player model to flicker in and out of view? Maybe? Combined with a tendency for the camera to move down and back up when clicking back out of the analyzer view (visible around 0:53 in my first recording.) I do notice times where the seed analyzer itself moves jerkily on the screen which suggests the camera doesn't always glide properly but it doesn't seem to be as frequent.
My headset needs replacing, sorry about the noisy background. Let me know if you want any specs for anything. Also I kept saying screen when I meant camera, lol.
Also recorded again with Xaero's to show the map jittering and also see if I could recreate the head movement the other user showed (it's not dependent on having a map mod installed, I just forgot to do that in the first vid):
Thanks for that, I think fixing the head movement will fix the minimap issues.
I also make the player model invisible when the camera phases through it, but it seems like l don't do it soon/long enough.
