While some could very easily argue it's cheaty, it's something I loved from the likes of Project Ozone 3 modpack.

Incase i got the variable name wrong or it's not the one i'm actually referencing. Project Ozone allows crossbreeding from just one source. Instead of a + pattern you can just snake it along in a queue of dual crop sticks and it would mutate.
