Basically when I tried flying the subterranodon, it would not leave the ground. I checked for incompatibilitied online for a while and saw radium was causing some bugs. At first I didn't think too much about it because it said that the issue was solved but when I removed radium from my modpack, the subterranodon flew perfectly with no issues.

whatever it doesn't seem to be radium that is causing teh issue
