Weird controls on Magnetic Surfaces

Walking on Scarlet Neodymium with Iron/Netherite boots has some interesting control "quirks".
Controls while walking on the side of the structure. There's no way to "run" down the side of the structure, as the player is automatically flipped up when they make contact with the surface. It's also very difficult to walk to other sides of the structure, considering these controls stay regardless of the camera direction.
Due to these locked controls, it's also impossible to turn around at all. Since the player's feet are being treated as the floor, it makes sense that they can't look all the way "up" to look at the real floor -- but you CAN turn your neck all the way through the X axis by dragging the mouse left or right. Additionally, the player model DOES turn around while holding S (despite it actually just being a backwards walk), but I think that's intended.
Finally, there's a bit of trickery going on with the ceiling. The player model's flipped, which I'm assuming is intentional, but so are all of the controls. The camera is also "flipped", as it shows the player's face first when swapping to third person, instead of showing the back of their head first. Other than those two issues, I think ceiling traversal is fine. It's still difficult to walk to other sides though.
Of course, all of these things could be intentional - I just couldn't help but notice the inconsistencies.
(Bonus bit: Mob models contort a bit when they're walking on magnetic surfaces -- they also lose their pathfinding altogether until they return to the ground)
