[1.18.2] None of the animals in buckets are able to be placed by dispensers

All of the animals in buckets in Alex's Mobs are not able to be placed by dispensers. They get dispensed in item form. Vanilla fish in buckets work just fine. I am using a Dispenser, and not a dropper, just for clarification.
