In the prominence 2 modpack im able to import items only into the right side of the controller block using ae2 but unable to pull any items out using ae2?

is this a bug with the modpack or a bug with the mod?

This is probably unrelated to Prominence completely. The bottom block of the Forge can be replaced with a Hopper, and this block is generally exposed as an output (you should be able to directly attach an importer to it).
