request to clarify licensing of project

is this mod all rights reserved like it says (by default) on curseforge or not?
would setting / adding a license be a bother so good people can fork / port a opensource mod ?
Well we definitely need the 1.12.2/1.12.1/1.12 port of this thing ASAP, so I'd like to know the answer to this as well.
Because a licence wasn't specified, the code is allowed to be forked on Github. I assume this means someone could fork the code and update it themselves.
