Breaking an AF transformer leaves ghost wires that still deal damage

Breaking a transformer that goes from AF to HV will leave invisible AF wires that still deal damage if the AF relay that was being drawn from is intact and receiving power.
Connecting the AF wire to the connector on the transformer which is initially for HV and therefore swapping the position of the connectors on the transformer somehow seems to avoid this.
