Since the Vehicles Module seems to be a long time coming, which is fine, of course, i realized there was no need for the Engineer NPC, and I felt this was under valued...Also, i think that giving an NPC the ability to operate redstone once given a command would be a great feature
Movecraft, for example, is fun, but you can only control one ship at a time...Now if you could have an NPC click a lever to activate a command block to control the ship, then you can have a fleet!!!
Moreover, you could have the Engineer activate his lever to open doors, gates, tnt cannons, Ancient Warfare gates, pistons, the list goes
If this is too complicated, please, I'd much rather you focus on getting bugs and other, more important features out, before even considering this, but please let me know if you decide that
