So I was looking for mods for my modpack and for some reason it keeps crashing with "ERROR LOADING MODS"

Anvil Never Too Expensive is known to be incompatible. Essential is known to just be garbage. Not sure of any other obvious potential issues. If it's neither of those two, you will need to remove mods until the issue stops, then reintroduce them until you can identify the offending mod.
