How did you do this mod ?

"i honestly had no idea on what to answer without sounding sarcastic and so i didn't answer, but this comment made me spit my coffee all over my keyboard through laughter"
Calm man, I understand that it is with codes, I just want to know how you did for example for the cable to transmit information these things, I found this mod very cool because of it and I wonder how it's done
For example, which engine did you use

Calm man

i am calm, i spit my coffee everywhere because of the humorous simple answer, thats all :) not hard feelings or anything

uuuhhh well the answer stays the same, but to explain it a bit more detailed ... (note that this does not even resembles the surface of this project, it is waaaaaayyy deeper) ... you define classes and interfaces that resemble cables and blocks, and you define how and which data have to be transported, then you implement all hooks the game offers to make it interactive ... everything beyond that is mechanics that you have to plan, write the chain of interactions down and implement the heck out of all this

dunno if any of the devs has an class hirarchy flying around somewhere, but there are tools to analyze that and make beautiful graphics from it since AE2 is completely open source :D

tl;dr; you can not simply explain how it#s done ... just a matter of implementing ideas you have into a structure that can be compiled

i think the devs (all people who contributed to this project code wise ... not like me only comment and knowledge wise) will see your comment as an sign of admiration of what has been achived, but if you really intend to get an answer, you would have to become a bit more precise on what aspects you mean to gain knowledge on .... or ask something like "how did you get to the idea behind AE2" because the plain answer of @tjsd really hits the quiet too simple question dead-on like a train the broken down truck standing on the rails ... while still sounding harshly sarcastic XD
