Applied Energistics crashes during Post-Initialization even when it worked fine before with the same set of mods

Describe the bug
I was playing around with Applied Energistics rv6.stable build 6 and several other mods. I decided to install an update to one of them (Pokecube, which had a major bugfix, that stopped itself from crashing occasionally, before I installed its update) and I loaded up Minecraft. It crashed and the report gave the error as coming from this mod. I looked to see if AE2 needed an update and saw that it did. I updated it and tried again. The game continued to crash from AE2. Knowing OpenEye (one of the mods, which checks for crashes), it will have probably added the crash report to its database for you. (Afterthought while writing this but I'm too lazy to fix: After doing step 2, I found it did. Due to this, instead of uploading the file, I'll provide the link to where OpenEye stored the crash.)
To Reproduce
Load Minecraft with the mods listed in the crash report. It will crash.
Disable (if you're using MultiMC or a similar launcher that allows disabling) or remove Applied Energistics 2. It will load as expected and OpenEye will have notified you of the crash and will link you to its report.
Expected behavior
I expected what Minecraft has done in the past while facing these mods. In the past, it would work normally without even a bit of lag (which still surprises me).

- MultiMC 5 Version: 0.6.7-1375 (latest at the time this happened)
- Minecraft Version: 1.12.2 (latest at the time this happened)
- AE2 Version: rv6.stable build 6 (former)/rv6.stable build 7 (later) (second is latest at the time this happened)
- Forge Version: 14.23.5.2847 (latest at the time this happened)
- All other mods and versions are in the in crash report in question along with what's above except for the launcher.
