Crafting monitor wont connect to network

Describe the bug
When i place the crafting monitor adjacent to any MC cable, or other network connected object, the crafting monitor doesnt do anything.
How to reproduce the bug
Place the crafting monitor next to any network connected object
Expected behavior
crafting monitor connects to the network allowing you to see what is crafting.
