Off by default, can be enabled with a config setting. What to include exactly is TBD, but hopefully it should allow tracking creation, destruction and modification of the Grids and their GridNodes. This will help a lot when debugging the various grid-related issues that can't be reproduced easily. Notably, this would be helpful for #6026, #6046 and #6139.
