It would be nice to add some sorting modes to the pattern access terminal, one I would use would be alphabetically by mod (then by block name). Or in order of when the machine was added

Reasons why it should be considered

I personally think about blocks by mod, not just in alphabetical order, so this would make machines easier to find. Also, when encoding patterns, you end up adding a few machines from one mod then encoding the patterns from that mod. This would just reduce how long you need to look around for the machines

Note that you can rename pattern providers in an anvil, which will change how they display in the pattern access terminal- Helpful if you have Pattern Providers pushing into Interfaces so you don't have just a wall of "interface" slots in the access terminal.

Sorting would be nice, but in the meantime don't forget the search bar will let you sort by provider name as well. (unfortunately, not by recipe as far as I can tell..)

Ah yeah, that could work too. Since making this issue, I’ve used the ExtendedAE pattern access terminal as I’m playing AOF7 now, and that has search bars for patterns as well as machines so that fixes the issue for me currently. Although I still think this would be good to add in the base AE2
