Describe the bug
The inscriber doesn't seem to have a crafting recipe as of V15.2.1. I just noticed this today as I was making quests for the mod itself.

since you didn't provide a crash log (hold F3 + C to force a crash), we have to guess.
do you have Create: Applied Kinetics installed? that mod contains a datapack, which is enabled by default and it removes all inscriber recipes, and the recipe for the inscriber itself.
you should be able to remove the datapack with the /datapack command
