Annihilation Plane doesn't work when directly connected with Crystal Resonance Generator

Describe the bug
When an Annihilation Plane (possibly also Formation Plane) is connected directly to a Crystal Resonance Generator it refuses to break any blocks but it works if a Glass Fiber is placed between them.
How to reproduce the bug
Build a block breaking setup (e.g. Flawless Budding Certus Quartz example farm setup from the guide) and use a Crystal Resonance Generator on the same cable as the Formation Plane.
Expected behavior
Blocks in front of the Annihilation Plane should be broken. The Quartz Fiber should not be required in this setup
Additional details
The bug might be caused by the Annihilation Plane trying to insert items in the Generator instead of connected inventories.

The energy wasn't the issue, I had 16kRF/t going into the system while using only a fraction of that.
Have you tried this with any additional normal cables, not just quartz fiber?
There's energy storage added to the network for each added cable...
