Describe the feature
Request to reinstate the old version working condition for blocking mod: 'when the container has any items inside'.
Reasons why it should be considered
Before experiencing the benefits of the new blocking mod, I first encountered the issue mentioned in the title: it became prone to malfunction.

Depending on the machine, the old behavior doesn't always work well either (or sometimes it may not work at all),
but I think having it as an additional option wouldn't hurt.
Tho I'd recommend just using multiple machines once the pattern provider is filled with patterns
I have been talking with a dev of ExpandedAE addon. I noticed that a new pattern provider "full blocking" mode apparently functions like the old version of the blocking mode.
After I discovered it and making some adjustments to a parallel ae2 setup, I have come to a conclusion that the old blocking mode or the "full blocking" mode of ExpandedAE is able to create many to one or many to many connections of pattern provider to machines. Saying, that it is possible to use multiple pattern providers with a single machine, and, what is the most important it is possible to use multiple pattern providers with multiple machines. The setup is as follows:

This allows for multiple pattern providers to multiple machines, which is impossible with a regular blocking mode. Which is why I think reintroduction of the old blocking mode or "full blocking" mode from expandedae would be beneficial in general.
