Meteorite Compass on hand does not change direction when shader pack is enabled

Describe the bug

When shaders are enabled, the Meteorite Compass shows the correct direction in the hotbar, but always points to the left on hand. When shaders are disabled, the Meteorite Compass shows the correct direction on hand.
How to reproduce the bug
Start a fresh modded Minecraft instance with these versions:
- NeoForge [21.1.208]
- Applied Energistics 2 [19.2.16]
- GuideME [21.1.14]
- Iris [1.8.12-snapshot+mc1.21.1-local]
- Sodium [0.6.13+mc1.21.1]
Install a shader. I have reproduced the bug with these two:
- Complementary Shaders - Reimagined [r5.5.1]
- Potato Shaders [v1.0d]
- Create a world in Creative Mode.
- Get a Meteorite Compass.
- Without shaders enabled, fly around until the compass tracks a meteorite. Verify that both the compass on hand and in the hotbar are changing their direction when you move the camera around.
- Enable shaders. Verify that the compass on hand always points to the left.
Expected behavior
The compass on hand points to the meteorite, even when shaders are enabled.
