Requesting Clarification: Neptunium, Bait, Luck of the Sea

Hello,

I understand that getting Neptune's Bounty in Open Water is quite rare; however, I wonder if I'm misunderstanding certain aspects of the mod that are making it even harder to find.

Specifically, some of language for both Neptunium Fishing Rods and bait confuses me.

  1. Does the Neptunium Fishing Rod negate the effects of Luck of the Sea, since it say that "fish" wil bite more often?

  2. Does bait negate the effects of Luck of the Sea since it (I believe) increases the likelihood of attracting/catching "fish"?

I had a Neptunium Fishing Rod with Luck of the Sea IV and bait, and it seemed that I was getting less Neptune's Bounty that I was previously with a regular Minecraft Fishing Rod with Luck of the Sea IV

Basically just wondering if these effect the loot tables, or if their both just Lure +1

I'm playing on 1.20.1 in Curseforge with many additional mods.

  1. No, it does not. The Neptunium Fishing Rod basically comes with a built-in Lure I enchant.
  2. Again no, it just decreases the time it takes to catch anything. Same as Lure enchant.
