Currently, the Modrinth version is marked as compatible all the way up to 1.21.8 on both forge and fabric, when it is not in fact compatible with that game version. Should be a simple fix, just change the version the latest 2 files are tagged as, but wanted to let you know for future Modrinth Launcher users.
