I've attempted to eat "normal" unmodded food and failed. I also tried to eat modded food and failed. I uploaded a .mp4 of me not being able to eat.
That's exactly my point. Depending on the mod interaction, the invulnerability can be ignored. That's the only case that I know of at the moment, but who knows what else will also ignore it?
I can understand if you want that to be the "Achilles heel" of your ultimate armor, but that's a big one that can be exploited by future mods.
Imagine a splash potion of hunger that eats away all of your hunger or spells that give you items at the cost of hunger, like Reliquary's infernal chalice.
You have to take the armor all off, getting hurt, to eat then putting it back on as quickly as you can.
Not allowing the individual to eat is kinda a big deal, I feel.
That would solve nearly every situation I could think of at the moment.
I think that's also how the Project E jeweled armor gets around it too.
Well, that's intended because the armor makes you invulnerable, which comes with unlimited food, aka you don't have to eat wearing the full set.
I hate to be disagreeable, but that is simply not true.
You can see this yourself by using the Bloodmagic dagger of self sacrifice while using "The Ultimate Armor"
Once you use it, your health goes down. From there your saturation and your hunger goes down. Once your hunger goes down there is no way of getting it back up short of removing the armor and eating.
Might I make a recommendation that the armor instead keeps the saturation at one point and does not go down? Barring that, allowing the armor to let you eat would be the best case in my opinion.
Bloodmagic dagger of self sacrifice, completely ignores the invulnerability of the armor.
