Using Version 1.16.5-1.23.10 on forge 36.2.2

Mageblocks appear to be a fraction of a pixel above the block they're supposed to be in (not sure if this is intentional or not). Also, the top surface of mage blocks is substantially lighter than the spell color and color of the sides. As a good example, an RGB of 251/182/209 results in an almost grey top surface, as shown below
