Getting the error:
The game crashed whilst initializing game
Error: net.minecraftforge.fml.ModLoadingException: Ars Nouveau (ars_nouveau) encountered an error during the common_setup event phase

seems to have been an issue with the ars omega update, updating it again has fixed the issue
