While having a greater than average max starlight charge, changing through weapons with perk attributes on them, my current starlight charges reverts back to default 1000, left to recharge on its own. This happens even if the attributes have nothing to do with starlight charge. It does not occur when I am already below 1000 charge. Before, I thought this didn't matter, considering the recharge time, but after really using more things that utilize starlight charge, I could see this being a big issue.

It looks like I was inaccurate with the cause of the issue. The current starlight charge only resets when using armor that increases max starlight charge(MSC). The value it resets to is not the default 1000, but whatever the MSC of the player's perks are before items. it is not only an armor issue as the same thing occurs when taking on an off armor with attributes while holding a gem that increases MSC. This most likely isn't an issue of perks in general, but of reevaluating the perk effects from items.
