Different Angles perk not working with a lot of wooden blocks, both vanilla and modded

The Different Angles perk sadly doesn’t work on some modded wooden blocks, such as any plank from Chisel; and menril wood and menril planks from Integrated Dynamics. This was the one perk I was most excited to get, so it’s pretty disappointing. It also does not work on both vanilla and modded crafting tables, slabs, stairs, and more.

Same issue as #1514, and it seems like this may have been fixed in 1.15.2 and 1.16.5 judging from #1483, but it’s still an issue in 1.12.2. I know 1.12.2 is an old version at this point, but is it possible this could also be fixed in 1.12.2? Would be fantastic!
