I can't grind rock crystals or increase cutting on the crystal sword on the grindstone. The sword will get the +10% attack bonus effect but cutting won't increase, and cannot be placed back on the stone after being sharpened. the rock crystal can't even be placed on the grindstone. Star metal works fine.
I tested it on a fresh world with only Astral Sorcery and replicated it there.
